Annual Servicing

Keeping your caravan in tip-top condition is essential. Regular servicing and maintenance will pay off in the long run, providing greater reliability and peace of mind.

However, it’s important to be aware of the safety and legal considerations involved. Every vehicle or trailer is required by law to be maintained in a condition where it cannot, through normal operation, pose a danger to anyone. While some checks can be carried out yourself, such as lights and tyres, the braking system, gas and electrical systems, and habitation area are best left to qualified professionals.

  • Firstly, and most importantly, drain the water system to prevent the sub-zero temperatures from freezing the pipes. Water expands when frozen and can easily split pipes (even metal ones), causing pumps to break internally and wreck water storage tanks leaving you with potentially expensive damage.

  • Dehumidifiers are used to remove trace amounts of water in the air. Humid air can cause mould or mildew to grow, posing numerous health risks. After using a caravan in damp or wet conditions, it is good practice to use a dehumidifier to lower the
